On July 18, the Executive Director of EASA, Patrick Ky, and the Head of Air Traffic Department of EASA Athanassios Tziolas met at the offices of HCAA with the Governor, Dr. Christos Tsitouras, the members of the Executive Board, the Advisors in legal matters and matters of political-military cooperation, as well as the General Directors and other high-ranking officials of HCAA.

Security issues were discussed and detailed reference was made to the steps taken by the HCAA in every sector (supervision of airports and air navigation, financial matters, etc.).

From the side of EASA, reference was made to the most important issues related to safety at the European level, to required actions and the necessary coordination. The next collaborations between HCAA and EASA in the near future were also planned, for the exchange of proposals and the planning of actions aimed at the safety of civil aviation in the Greek and European aviation community.
