The Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority (HCAA), according to the requirement of par. 11 of art. 13 Regulation (EU) 376/2014, issues the Annual Safety Review (ASR) for Aviation in Greece.
The Safety Management and Occurrence Reporting Section of HCAA compiles the ASR based on data collected from safety occurrence reports.
Occurrence reporting is per Regulation (EU) 376/2014 through the European Co-ordination Centre for Accident and Incident Reporting Systems (ECCAIRS2).
The report includes occurrences involving Greek-registered aircraft that have taken place either in Greece or abroad, as well as occurrences that took place in Greece involving foreign-registered aircraft.
The ASR presents information on safety performance in various domains of civil aviation.
The data presented are used by the HCAA Safety Committee and the HCAA Safety Review Board to determine the strategic priorities and actions included in the currently applicable Hellenic Aviation Safety Plan.
