Annex 17 of the Chicago Convention (Amendment 16) and EC1583 / 2019 (effective from 31/12/2021) establish new requirements in the field of aviation cyber security. In particular, new obligations are placed on entities defined in NASP for measures to protect critical systems, information and communication data, to background checks of persons who manage or have unsupervised and unrestricted access to the above systems, but also to train all staff who have a role and responsibility concerning cyber threats.

The regulatory development of this new sector in the field of aviation is constantly evolving and shaping in the relevant European and international for and further requirements and instructions will be provided according to the relevant developments.
