On Friday, December 1^st, 2023, at the premises of the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority (HCAA), a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Governor of HCAA Dr. Christos Tsitouras, and the President of the Hellenic Air and Railway Safety Accident Investigation Authority (HARSIA), Mr. Athanasios Binis.

The signed Memorandum of Cooperation defines issues concerning:

• maintaining and/or improving Greece’s aviation safety level,
• the management and investigation of civil aviation safety occurrences,
• the standardization of procedures regarding collaboration, exchanging matters of know-how, and corresponding provision of information, for the investigation of an air accident or serious incident and finally
• strengthening the bonds of cooperation regarding matters of the National Aviation Safety Program and the National Aviation Safety Plan.
