Following an initiative by the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority H(CAA), a meeting was held on 4 July 2025 at the premises of the Authority between the HCAA, the Hellenic Aviation and Railway Safety Investigation Agency (HARSIA), the Hellenic Aviation Service Provider (HASP), the Hellenic Air Force and the Fire Brigade, focusing on the more effective and timely implementation of Safety Recommendations 14AV and 15AV issued by HARSIA, concerning UAS flights during air firefighting operations.

During the meeting, the European and national regulatory framework governing UAS was briefly presented, the parameters of the relevant HARSIA Security Recommendations were analyzed and implementation proposals were evaluated. 

The results of the meeting were very positive and led to the clarification of technical issues and the analysis of the parameters that will allow the appropriate measures to be taken for the successful implementation of the Safety Recommendations.
