Participation of HCAA to Changi Aviation Summit and Singapore Airshow 2026/ Singapore/ 1- 3 February 2026

The Ministry of Transport of Singapore and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) organized the Changi Aviation Summit, which was held in parallel with the Singapore Airshow 2026, from 1 to 3 February 2026. As the world’s leading international aerospace and defense exhibition and the largest of its kind in Asia, the Singapore Airshow showcases the most advanced technologies and developments in the aviation sector.

Within this framework, the Changi Aviation Summit provided an exclusive, high-level platform for the exchange of views between government and business leaders on critical issues facing the industry. Under the theme “Rising Above Disruption: Building the Aviation Ecosystem of Tomorrow,” the 2026 Summit focused on how states and businesses can continue to drive growth through aviation in an increasingly complex and demanding operating environment.

The 3rd Changi Aviation Summit 2026 brought together approximately 350 government and industry leaders from more than 50 countries in Singapore. Greece was represented by the Governor of the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority, Dr. Christos Tsitouras, who attended following a personal invitation from the organizers. Dr. Tsitouras participated in key discussions on the future of air transport, focusing on sustainability, industry resilience, digital transformation, and international cooperation.

The Summit’s agenda was broad, highlighting global trends and challenges in aviation. Key topics included growth in a disrupted environment, the redesign of the aviation passenger experience and connectivity, strategic partnerships and business models, as well as the future of the space ecosystem (Space Summit).

During the Summit, CAAS signed multiple Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) aimed at enhancing sustainability, innovation, and human capital development within the sector, as well as the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to improve safety, operational efficiency, and airspace modernization.
