
The second scheduled meeting of the EASA Management Board for 2024, under the leadership of Mr. Koen Milis, Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Belgium and with the participation of the EASA Executive Director, Mr. Florian Guillermet, took place at the headquarters of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency in Cologne on 10 & 11 December 2024.
Greece, as a member of the Management Board, was represented by the Governor of the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority, Dr. Christos Tsitouras and the General Director of Aviation Activities, Mr. Konstantinos Karageorgis.
The members of the Management Board dealt with a wide range of topics, involving operational, administrative and financial issues. Among others, they had the opportunity to discuss and exchange views on the current cooperation between EASA and EUROCONTROL, on the new proposed organigram of EASA, while in parallel the results of the study on the EASA sustainable funding were presented along with relevant proposals. Other agenda items presented and reviewed were about the future operational planning of the Agency, matters related to the conflict of interest of EASA staff, issues on anti-corruption strategy, EPAS 2025, audit program of 2025 and the preparation ahead of the upcoming ICAO USOAP audit at EASA within the first quarter of 2025. Finally, the dates of the MB meetings within 2025 were decided, being on 3-4 June and 09-10 December.
