The ICAO Secretary General, Mr. Juan Carlos Salazar and the newly appointed ICAO EUR/NAT Regional Director, Mr. Nicolas Rallo, met with Dr. Christos Tsitouras, General Director of the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority (HCAA) and Ms. Kalliopi Lykou, Director Finance, HCAA.

A number of issues were discussed during the bilateral meeting, including priorities for the forthcoming 41th Session of the ICAO Assembly, as well as updates at national, regional and global levels.  At the occasion of the meeting, ICAO and the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority signed a "Management Service Agreement" (MSA). The Parties decided to enter into this agreement regarding the management and other services to be provided by ICAO to the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority. A dedicated Annex to the MSA will be developed concerning the provision of capacity building activities and the supporting of the HCAA oversight capacity. Both parties expressed their strong commitment to enhance cooperation.
