On Monday, January 27, 2025, the customary cutting of the New Year's pie took place for the staff of the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority.

The event was honored with the presence of representatives of the country's political and religious leadership, including the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Mr. Christos Staikouras, and His Grace Metropolitan of Mesogaia and Lavreotiki, Nikolaos.

The Administration of the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority (HCAA) and the Hellenic Aviation Service Provider (HASP), high-ranking officials of the Greek aviation community, representatives of the Hellenic Air Force General Staff and the Greek Police were also present.

The event was prefaced by the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority (HCAA) Governor, Dr. Christos Tsitouras, who presented an assessment of the Authority's work during the previous year. In his speech, he highlighted the progress that has been made, with the main objective of strengthening aviation safety.

The Governor pledged to further intensify the Authority's efforts, both as a supervisory and regulatory body, with the ultimate goal of maximum safety in the aviation sector, for the benefit of tourism and the national economy as a whole.

The Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Mr. Christos Staikouras, acknowledged the progress of the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority, thanked all the agencies and mentioned the goals for the next period.

Afterwards, His Grace Metropolitan Mr. Nikolaos blessed the traditional New Year’s Pie and addressed warm wishes to all those present.
