Miltiadis Provatas joined the new Civil Aviation Authority in April 2022 and was appointed Head of the Directorate of Financial and Administrative Support and Legal Affairs in May 2022.

He practiced law for 6 years in Athens and  worked for 22 years in positions of responsibility at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport and 4 years at the Permanent Representation of Greece to the European Union, gaining significant experience in areas such as transport policy, negotiation of agreements, representation in international organizations (UN / ECE, Black Sea Economic Cooperation, ECMT). Collaborated with the World Bank for the documentation of the Report "Greek Logistics- Unlocking Growth Potential through Regulatory Reform and Complementary Measures", and participated as a member in the Committee for the elaboration of the “ National Strategy for the Supply Chain”

He has experience in Public Administration, as a graduate of the National School of Public Administration and has attended the "European Public Administration" program of EIPA in Maastricht.

He holds a diploma in law from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, as well as a postgraduate degree in "Decision Sciences" and the "Global e-management (GEM)" program from the Athens University of Economics and Business.
