Konstantinos Chatzopoulos joined the Civil Aviation Authority in May 2022 and was appointed Head of the IT department in May 2022. The IT department has as its main responsibility the technical support of the efficient operation of HCAA

He worked for 22 years in Public Administration services exclusively in the field of Informatics and Telecommunications, starting from the Development Programs Management Organization Unit (2000-2012), then in the Independent Authority "Gaming Supervision and Control Committee" (2012-2016), to the Independent Authority for the Examination of Preliminary Appeals (2017) and to the Hellenic Development Bank (2020-2022).

He has extensive experience in IT infrastructure, organization, operation and support of networks, data and network security, tender procedures and design, implementation and monitoring of IT projects.

He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering & Computer Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a postgraduate degree in Advanced Information Systems from the University of Piraeus.
