Georgios Kikis is a senior officer of the Greek Air Force, specialized in Finance,   and retired at the rank of Brigadier General. During his tenure, he has served in various positions of financial and administrative interest. He has been an Advisor to the Regional Governor of Attica on matters of administrative organization, coordination and supervision of the operation of the Regional Governor’s Office. For four years he served as the Director of the department of Financial Services at the 251 Air Force General Hospital. There, he was in charge of the Procurement, Financial Management and Accounting, Budgeting, and Patient Mobility Office mainly conducting public tenders, drawing up supply and maintenance contracts, developing and implementing the system of electronic auctions for supplies, drawing up the balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and all the financial statements of the financial services. He also served in the Directorate of Inspection, Control of Financial Services and Preventive Control of Contracts by inspecting all financial activities, internal control and preventive control of contracts. Mr Kikis served in various administrative positions of the Finance Directorate of the Greek Air Force as Head of Department, Finance Supervisor and Head of Accounting. He has also served in the Financial Office of Procurement of the Air Force at the Greek Embassy in Rome in charge of the financial relations of the Air Force with Italy. He was a member of an inter-ministerial working group for the exchange and joint exploitation of financial data, management and operation of Military Hospitals and those of the Ministry of Health. In addition, he was a member of a group for the interdisciplinary management of supplies in the health division and a member of the Supervisory Board of the Building Cooperative "IKAROS " being mainly responsible for the control of the Directors Board actions. Moreover, he deals with folklore culture and the preservation of the cultural heritage. He has been the coordinator of the compilation of the file submitted to the Ministry of Culture for the inclusion of the Great dance event of Vlasti in Kozani, his place of origin, in the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage and in the list of World Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO.

Georgios Kikis is a graduate of the Department of Economics and Law of AUTH and the Military School of Officer Corps. He speaks English and Italian.
