Konstantinos Diamantakos has joined the newly established Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority (HCAA) since November 2021 and has been appointed Head of the General Aviation and Drones Section. He has also been designated as Main Representative of the HCAA for General Aviation and Drones Legislation at EASA and is working with his associates to ensure the immediate implementation of European Drones legislation and the development and modernization of General Aviation within the required flight safety framework.

He graduated from the American Flyers Academy in New York where he obtained a Commercial Pilot License with an instructor rating . He then worked for a decade as an Airline Transport Pilot for Olympic Airways (OA) on Boeing 737 aircraft.

He is also a graduate of the Hellenic Open University in the field of  Business Administration and Organizations and has worked in the Commercial Directorate of Olympic Aviation -Services, in parallel with his flight duties at OA. He has also been placed by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) on its roster of experts for Airport Privatization / Ops / Commercialization.

Also he has been active in several General Aviation sectors as a pilot of light airplanes in Greece and abroad and he has taken part in drone and aircraft model activities.
