On Thursday, January 18, 2024, the cutting of the New Year's pie took place for the staff of the Civil Aviation Authority. With their presence we were honored by representatives of the political and religious leadership of the country and in particular the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Mr. Christos Staikouras and His Grace Metropolitan of Mesogaia and Lavreotiki, Mr. Nikolaos.

The event was prefaced by the HCAA Governor, Dr. Christos Tsitouras, who assessed the overall work of the Authority during its two-year operation and referred extensively to the recent success of the Authority, which responded with very positive results to the inspection conducted from December 6 to 18, 2023 by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), within the framework of the USOAP (Universal Safety Oversight Audit Program), in the field of civil aviation safety. With this success as a springboard, he called on the staff to intensify their efforts to achieve the overall goal setting of the HCAA with more zeal and conscientiousness.

The Governor expressed his warm thanks to the Minister Mr. Christos Staikouras for the undivided support he provided for the success of the critical work of the Authority. The Minister, in turn, congratulated the HCAA for its promising success and he also emphasized the need to ensure the safety of aviation, to coordinate all the agencies involved in safety-related activities and to strengthen the supervisory role of the HCAA.

Afterwards, His Grace Metropolitan Mr. Nikolaos blessed the traditional New Year’s Pie and addressed his wishes to all those present.
